7 Steps 2 Heaven came to be, after Lorelei and Paul decided to blend their artistic musical ambitions, styles and concepts, into a sound that would soothe people and give them music with substance. The 7 Steps are simply:

Love, Forgiveness, Patience, Wisdom, Faith, Joy, and Humility.

Lorelei's childhood exposure to meditation, greatly influenced her upbringing. The path to self discovery was always a major focus in her life. She shared these ideas with Paul, who came from a coal mining family in Beaver Dam Kentucky. They managed to blend concepts and ideals to make beautiful music together. Between Paul moving to the left coast and Lorelei concentrating on raising their son, the project was put on hold, but the demos here are the beginnings of their vision for this duo.

Accompanied by the extraordinary Anthony Jackson a host of very talented co-producers (Steve Skinner, Paul Grant, Lionel Spears, Darryl Ross and the duo themselves)  and various sidemen, they created a jazz flavored music that transcends the "Bic lighter" approach to record making.

Lorelei and Paul have learned from some of the most distinct artists in the business. Instead of chasing the trends, they remained true to a vision and recorded several tunes. Lorelei hopes to continue this journey with various players and take 7 Steps into tomorrow with Paul as the featured soloist.
