"I grew up on folk music (JONI MITCHELL), rock and roll (PINK FLOYD), pop/jazz (STEELY DAN), and soul (STEVIE WONDER). I'm a product of post civil rights California. My Parents were progressive. They rebelled against the stereo types and traditions they grew up on and took a progressive approach with my upbringing." says the Los Angeles born singer who has worked with acts like LOU REED, BILLY IDOL and EURYTHMICS.  As fate would have it, PINK FLOYD (the Godfathers of Psychedelia) gave her her first exposure to the road on their "Momentary Lapse of Reason "and "Delicate Sound of Thunder" tours. She followed that by touring with the ROLLING STONES. Both the Stones and The Floyd gave her the chance to be both operatic and bluesy, featuring her in duet with MICK JAGGER on "GIMMIE SHELTER" and "GREAT GIG IN THE SKY" respectively.

Lorelei's talent in both songwriting and arranging caught the attention of NILE RODGERS (MADONNA, DAVID BOWIE, CHIC) who produced her songs for SISTER SLEDGE and PHILLIP BAILEY of Earth Wind and Fire. Lorelei’s credit highlights also include: LOU REED (backing him with GRACE JONES & DEBBIE HARRY) AARON NEVILLE, DONNY OSMOND, ALBERT COLLINS, LUTHER VANDROSS and PATTI LABELLE.

Lorelei has performed in film, television, music videos, live and in the recording studio.  She has ventured into the world of production, co-producing hip hop artist Warrior who is featured in the Xbox video game “Outlaw Volleyball”. (click to see a video from that game.) She has worked in concert promotion for artists GRACE JONES, MELBA MOORE, FREDDIE JACKSON, EVELYN KING and more.

While living in Nashville Tennessee, Lorelei joined the Blue Zone band and performed and recorded as their featured lead vocalist. On her return to New York, she continued to record, produce, promote and perform with her various creative skills. Having recently relocated to Los Angeles Lorelei has rejoined band mates Paul Litteral and Paulie Cerra in the Blue Zone. They are presently recording material for a new release, and look forward to touring in support of that effort.

Artists ranging from SEAL and MESHELL N'DEGEOCELLO to ERYKAH BADU and MUSIQUE SOUL CHILD have helped to define the neosoul genre, focusing on true Artistry, creating a renaissance in R&B music.  “Due to the diversity of my background, I relate to those who take a different approach. I love band oriented music and the influences of the ‘old school’ root. I want to explore contemporary expressions of the most inspired music! The Blue Zone gives me a chance to do just that.” says Lorelei.
