Ms. Lorelei McBroom is an
artist, singer, songwriter, executive, and producer.
She comes from a varied and versatile professional
background. She studied the recording industry at UCLA,
covering the fields of - Artist
Management, Marketing, Songwriting and Record Production.
Her professors included- Music Industry Attorney Ned
Shankman (Barry
White), Nik
Venet
(Lou
Rawls, Linda Ronstadt, Glen Campbell, The
Beach
Boys),
Academy award winner Al Kasha, and film great Jack Nietzsche.
She also studied filmmaking at Cal State Northridge
and music theory at USC.
She began her career as assistant
account executive for
Barney’s
New York
at The EPSTEIN
Raboy
Advertising Agency. Ms. McBroom worked with
noted art director Marc Balet (INTERVIEW &,
DETAILS MAGAZINES). She produced radio spots for
Barney’s as
well as writing and co-producing music for
the
PalmerS Cocoa Butter
formula
product line.
Lorelei McBroom
then founded Song Of The Lorelei Publishing, and Song Of
The Lorelei Productions Inc. She
progressed to recording, songwriting and background singing, with the
legendary record producer
Nile Rodgers (Chic, Diana Ross, Madonna, David Bowie), who has sold
upwards of
100,000,000 records over the course of his career.
Her experiences include work in publishing,
touring, music video, film, television and live stage
performance. Her credit highlights include:
The Rolling Stones,
Pink Floyd, Sister Sledge, Aaron
Neville, (Earth, Wind and
Fire’s) Phillip Bailey, Lou Reed, The Eurhymics, Billy
Idol, PATTI LA BELLE, Luther Vandross, and Diana ross.
Following
a brief stint recording and writing for Don Welch at
Prelude Music, she was offered the position of Music division President for
his newly founded OHM Music and Film Works.
She helped supervise the making of Hip Hop artist
Warrior’s
“The Perfect Weapon”
CD, providing songwriters, musicians and her own
singing, writing and production talents to the project.
She also assisted in the development of the company’s
web site. Veteran music mogul
Nile
Rodger’s
created a partnership with Microsoft, Simon &
Schuster
and MTV. Mr. Rodgers, head of Warrior’s distributor Sumthing
Distribution, then selected two songs from Warrior ‘s
CD “The Perfect
Weapon” to be featured in the XBox
game "Outlaw Volleyball" (see game video
below). Mr. Rodger’s selected Ms.
McBroom to assist with the project’s accompanying
soundtrack venture. OHM has also given Ms. McBroom the
opportunity to produce a movie house commercial called
“Got Braces?”. It was done in association with Emmy award
winner Danny Schechter, VP of Global Vision Inc.
and award winning director Yvette Tomlinson. As senior
talent coordinator and event supervisor she assisted in
the production and promotion of events for GRACE JONES,
MELBA MOORE and FREDDIE JACKSON for OHM and the Underground
Networks’ concert division.
The For Our Children's Sake
Foundation Inc. utilized the services of Song Of The Lorelei Productions Inc.
to design the logo and promotional package for "VOICES FOR
THE VOICELESS; A Concert of Compassion." The creation of this
event was requested by The United Nations. This
concert event took place on June 13th, 2007, to aid
Darfur. (Go to the

page for more details.) That project lead
to the creation of
"Who Cares? We Care!", an SOL Productions
presentation supported by Industry giants and
Politicians alike such as: Danny Glover, Speaker of the
House Nancy Pelosi, Congresswoman Diane E. Watson, Producer
Nile Rodgers, UN Representative Rachael Mayanja, and ABC
World News Associate Director Gary Mace among many
others. Who Cares? We Care! is an ongoing humanitarian
awareness project raising funds through the OUR GLOBAL
VISION online shopping mall.
Lorelei Mc Broom’s foundation in the advertising and record
industries, along with her experience as a creative entity
have given her the business acumen and artist vision to
provide numerous skills through her company Song Of The
Lorelei Productions Inc. She values the process of
learning from cutting edge groundbreakers, with every
intention of becoming one of them herself.
